Itinerary

  1. Stop 1 Pass by

Your private charter departs from Portland’s Old Port, a lively waterfront district full of historic charm, boutique shops, and waterfront restaurants. It’s the perfect starting point for your intimate cruise, blending Maine’s maritime history with modern vibrancy. As you board your classic wooden vessel, the city’s energy fades, revealing the scenic beauty of Casco Bay.

  2. Stop 2 Pass by

Portland Breakwater Light, or Bug Light, is a charming cast-iron lighthouse with Greek Revival design. Its striking white tower makes it one of Maine’s most photographed beacons. This scenic landmark marks the entrance to Portland Harbor and offers a postcard-perfect moment at the start of your cruise.

  3. Stop 3 Pass by

Spring Point Ledge Lighthouse, built in 1897, sits on a granite breakwater in South Portland. It’s one of the few sparkplug-style lighthouses accessible by boat. Nearby, Fort Preble, dating back to 1808, offers a glimpse into Portland’s coastal defense history, making this stop a favorite for history enthusiasts and photographers alike.

  4. Stop 4 Pass by

Portland Head Light, Maine’s most iconic lighthouse, stands on a rocky cliff in Fort Williams Park. Active since 1791, it’s a symbol of Maine’s rugged coast. From the water, you get the best view for photos and stories of shipwrecks, wartime history, and early American maritime life.

  5. Stop 5 Pass by

Ram Island Ledge Light, perched on a rocky outcrop, appears to float on swirling tides. Its weathered appearance and remote location highlight Maine’s rugged coastline and maritime resilience, sparking conversations and adding drama to your cruise.

  6. Stop 6 Pass by

Fort Gorges, built in the 1850s, is Casco Bay’s most impressive stone fortress. It played a key role in coastal defense and later served as a U.S. Army storage site during WWII. Its massive walls and strategic location make it a favorite for history buffs and photographers.

  7. Stop 7 Pass by

Peaks Island, known as the “Coney Island of Maine,” is the largest island in Casco Bay. It’s rich in history, from summer resorts to WWII military outposts. Today, it’s a lively community with beaches, trails, and quirky attractions like the Umbrella Cover Museum, offering a lively contrast to the historic sites.

  8. Stop 8 Pass by

Fort Scammel on House Island, built in 1808, once fired in defense of Portland. It’s a well-preserved military site with thick granite walls and hidden gun placements. Now privately owned, it offers a glimpse into Portland’s coastal defense history and adds an element of mystery to your cruise.
